“For most children, the separation process is a struggle between their natural desire to explore the world and their equally natural resistance to leaving what is “safe”. It is during these years that children are learning move about under their own power and to trust themselves” (Page 319)
I think this is not only a struggle for children. It is the struggle that we face as human beings as we experience change in our lives. I can relate to this natural resistance as I am exploring new opportunities in the ECE field. Life is about facing the unknown and dealing with the feelings associated with the process.
